Jack and Shannon in Nashville

-Monday night-
Well...we're here in Nashville Tenessee...checked out some music last night. Broadway is a cool street with lots of activity. There's a bunch of bars in a row with live music...no cover charge. Different model than from where we're from...they pass around a bucket for $$$...pretty cool vibe..you just kinda walk in from bar to bar...

Saw/heard some cool country swing...and harder country...Shannon danced with a local (i permitted this activity).....of course...all music was cover tunes...apparently there's songwriter nights and stuff...gonna try and tap into some of that...

-Tuesday night-
Went to the Grand Ole Opry!!! All my life i've watched/loved shows like Austin City Limits and the Grand Ole Opry... it was like a 5 min walk from our hotel...we walked in late to see 'CherryHolmes'. This is a kick ass bluegrass family band. They were awesome...seen them on Grand Ole Opry on tv before...seeing them live was surreal... I got slighlty emotional. Being there was like entering another world...a dream world i have only experienced on the boob tube. Lots of history there... JRP-album news- Pierre Chretien laid down some sweet Hammond M3 @ Jarhead's

Yeah...last night after i played hockey, for the first 'real' time in 19 yrs (surreal) I headed over to Gizzy's, you know Jarhead, you know Chris (http://www.chrisbreitner.com/). Pierre Chretien (http://www.souljazzorchestra.com/) laid some seriously happy organ on a tune of mine...it's our 'sunny' song...i felt it needed some 'sun'...so we called up P.C....laid it down in a take...then we did an insurance one for fun....

Habs beating Leafs 5-1 in 2nd

Ahhhhh...poetry...

Recently i met a Leafs fan...it was wierd....don't meet them too...too often...but once in a while you meet one...and it's like.....go back to Toronto!!!!

ahhhh Habs....my first allegiance in life....Habs........now the Sens..... But i do throw Montreal love and wish them good luck...

New shannon tune recorded -'have a garden'

Well folks,
Slated to be last recording of album...'have a garden'. Just some cleanups and last minor tweaks to do on mixes.

Don't you love these play by play updates? We have been hermitizing a lil' too long. I think if do a solo album...i'll call it 'hermitized'. If anyone actually reads this other than moi...feel free to add a comment!!! The hermit is lonely!!!

ps. I just bought way too many cds off amazon...but i just couldn't help it.....new jenny lewis, elvis, old mat mays, monk, old blue rodeo, doves.....insanity...the whole click/shopping cart thing is way too easy!!!
